The needle and the thread; Hindi pronunciation: is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film directed by Sharat Katariya and produced by Maneesh Sharma under the banner of Yash Raj Films.
It stars Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma as a young couple in rural India who start their own small-scale clothing business. Principal photography began in the town of Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh in February 2018 and the film was theatrically released on 28 September 2018.
